Pastor’s A to Zs

A few weeks ago I was challenged to make an A to Z list of things I love and am grateful for. As I look around Alpine, there is SO MUCH that I’m so very thankful for! So, in the spirit of Thanksgiving, here is my non-exhaustive list, of what I love about Alpine:

Administrative Professionals (like Lynn!), Altar Guild Volunteers, Alpine Academy, Adult Forums, AlpineFest, Beautiful Banners,  Bible Studies, Choirs, Church Council, Confirmation Students & Mentors, Custodian (Tim), & Coffee Hour, Children’s Church, Dancing Babies (who doesn’t like Dancing Babies?), Decorations, Easter (Jesus Has Risen!), Food, Foundation, all our Finance Folk, Fun, Flowers, GOD, Godparents & Grandparents, Hospitality committee, Homebound members & those who visit them, Instruments, Inclusion, Jesus!, Kids, Knit Crotchet & Pray Gatherings, volunteer coordinators (like Laurel), Lots of Love, Pastor Lucy (I can still consider her part of Alpine right?), Mission, Mosaic, Money Counters, Musicians, Memorials, Neighbors, Noise (I’m glad it’s not very quiet around here!), the church Office, Outreach People (Like Scott Dabson), Praise Band, Property People Who Care for our Building, Paraments, Principals (like Bob McVinnie), Partners in Ministry, Quilters, Questions, Richard our Music Director, Rivalries (Go Bears!), Rejoicing Spirit’s Worship, Soup Suppers, Sound Board guys, Stewardship Team, Social Ministry Team, Teachers, Troop 57, Ushers, Volunteers – SO many Volunteers!, Worship in The Park, WorkCamp (Thank You John Linde), Stained Glass Windows, All those who go the eXtra mile!, Youth, Z… I can’t come up with a Z… help me out?!

What else have I missed on my list?

Remember – gratitude is one of the best medicines against all those negative feelings like fear, worry, anger, distain, bitterness & unforgiveness – so if you haven’t done it yet, take a few minutes and make your own A to Z list – about your spouse, about your job, about your life. It will make you feel good!

Grateful for you all,

Pastor Dan
