The Lord Will Provide
Fall Stewardship Series
“We can be certain that God will give us the strength and resources we need to live through any situation in life that God ordains. The will of God will never take us where the grace of God cannot sustain us.” — Billy Graham
“A God wise enough to create me and the world I live in is wise enough to watch out for me.”— Philip Yancey
Our fall stewardship series this year is “The Lord Will Provide.” Throughout this series we will be delving deep into this very truth and trying to figure out just how and what God provides for us. Seeing and learning how God provides can change our faith. The changes begin first with our mindset and attitudes but can spread quickly to our relationships, decision making, dreams, and many other areas of our lives. These changes will help move our relationship from one of “What God can do for me” to “What God can enable me to do for others.” Here is a schedule of what is to come!
Start Date is Sunday October 14th with one worship service at 10:00 AM with a fellowship Meal to follow.
October 14th God Provides for Our Needs. Matthew 6. Our worries and concerns are misplaced. How does God provide a change in our thinking and attitudes? Learn about how God begins to transform stubborn and selfish people.
October 21st God Provides the ability to see the world differently. Acts 9:1-31. Paul is blinded and then receives sight – both literal and metaphorical.
October 28th God Provides Freedom. Acts 16:16-40. God Provides freedom from what oppresses us – so that we can take part in God’s mission – not live for ourselves. Paul and Silas freed from prison only to serve the people that oppressed them.
Nov 4th All Saints Day Service. God Provides meaning to Life and Death.
Nov 11th God Provides Community/Relationships. Acts 20:17-38 God provides the people that bring intimacy and support that enable us to comprehend “that it is better to give than receive”
