As the summer winds down and we prepare ourselves for another school year, another season, another phase of the year, I give thanks and praise to God!
This summer we tried new things. We moved to one service at 9am and were open to the ways we would be fulfilled and challenged. We all stepped out of the comfort of our preferred worship style and embraced different music and prayers and gathering time. For the first time we got to gather all together on a regular basis and fellowship with each other for longer than we have before. As we go back to two services at 8am and 10am in September, I ask that you take time to reflect on this transition. What do you notice that you like better? What do you notice that you miss about one service? Give me all the feedback! I would love to hear your input!
September not only brings the two services back, but also the start of confirmation again! I am very excited about this year’s confirmation schedule. We are joining Our Saviors again and this year, Salem will be joining us too! We have very exciting things planned for our confirmation students. If your youth are not yet involved but think they may want to be, please reach out to me!
The YMCA after-school program has officially begun! It is so wonderful to see children getting dropped off here by their buses, knowing they will have a safe and fun environment to be in until they go home. We are so thankful for this partnership and the ways the Holy Spirit is working and moving in our community.
I want to thank Morgan Dabson for taking the lead this year for Alpine Fest! It was a wonderful turn out this year and I am thankful for everyone that stepped up. I also want to thank Pam Lojewski for leading the service that morning for me!
May God’s peace continue to find us all!
