The Christian Education department offers many services and
classes. They offer nursery services for the little ones and
Sunday school & vacation bible school for the young. Middle
school forum, church camp and confirmation classes for the
older kids, and adult forum is available to the adults seeking to
grow their faith.

Is the Teacher calling you? Are you looking for a connection
with God but haven't found one? Perhaps the answer might be
Diakonia. Diakonia gives you time with God through a series of
classes on the Bible, our church, possible ministry gifts, and a
variety of other courses. But it is more than just a class, it is a
chance to listen with your heart and soul too.
Diakonia is a two year program which meets once a week.
Current classes are offered in Rockford.

The Youth program at Alpine Lutheran plans activities for
grades 7 through 12. While kids this age want different things
and have diverse interests, the Youth Ministry at Alpine has one
goal. The youth program strives to provide quality and

LOMC is a ministry of the Northern Illinois Synod,
Central/Southern Illinois Synod, Metropolitan Chicago Synod
and Central States Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church
in America (ELCA).
Throughout the year LOMC conducts many types programs for

education events for schools. With its camp and retreat
facilities, trained staff, and 640 acres of hills, prairies, pond
and forests, new and annual visitors find the LOMC site a
