The answer from last Crossroads Newsletter Question:

What is another name for the Sermon on the Mount?

Answer: The Beatitudes

   Bible Verse for the week:

“He is not here; he has risen, just as he said.”

Think about the power in this verse.  The Power of God is so amazing.  This act of Christ is also amazing.  Would you die for all the people in this world!?!  Remember Jesus died for YOU, even before you were born.  He knew all about you and all that you would do in your life and He still said, “I Will Die For YOU.”  May you have the RISEN JESUS in your heart.  HAPPY EASTER!!

What is another name for the Sermon on the Mount?

The answer from last Crossroads Newsletter Question:

What is the shortest verse in the Bible?   Answer: “Jesus wept”

   Bible Verse for the week:

“For God so loved ____ that He gave His one and only Son that if ____ believes in Him ____ shall not perish but have eternal life.”  John 3:16

How many of you know the verse John 3:16 forwards, backwards and sideways?  But in this month of Love, I want to remind you about God’s love for YOU.  Please read this verse by adding your name in the blanks.  By putting your name into this verse, it brings a whole new meaning to these words from God!!  Think about it, that is some powerful LOVE!

Bible Verse for the week:

I can do everything through him who gives me strength.     Philippians 4:13

Always know that your strength comes from Jesus.  You can get through a tough time because Jesus is there by your side, in front of you, behind you, and holding you.  May you have joy and peace in your heart by just knowing this.  Don’t forget to Thank Jesus for that strength that He gives you too.

Bible Verse for the week:

“…for Satan himself Masquerades as an angel of light.”       II Corinthians 11:14

“Man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”

I Samuel 16:7b

These verses are for the month of October and for Halloween.  Be watchful for those around you that hide behind “Masks”.  There are all kinds of people, good and bad, that do this.  The mask of being a bully, the mask of being shy, the mask of being a brain in school, the mask of being the sports person, the mask of being popular, etc.  As you dress-up for Halloween, please make sure that you don’t hide behind your mask.  Even after your costume is off, remember that God sees your heart and that you cannot hide from Him.  God sees what is on the inside and that is how we should look at others.  Look at people’s hearts as God looks to yours.

Crossroads Youth Newletter #18

This Crossroads comes to you with a heavy heart, and after much prayer.  As of August 15, 2010, I will no longer be the “official” Coordinator of Youth Ministry.  There are a lot of reasons why, but mostly due to all the hours I still am working, taking care of my family and everything else that has been going on in my life.  I feel that God did put it on my heart back in February to do this.  I just wish that I could have reached more of you to keep my energy going.  Even though I am not “Official”, I am still here for YOU.  I will still be teaching Sunday School and doing the Children Sermon Ministry.  I want you all to know that I am here for you if you need to talk or whatever is needed.  And who knows there might be still activities but just in a different way.  Thank you to all who supported this Ministry and please continue to Pray for this Ministry and for our Youth.

Bible Verse for the week:

“Have faith in God,” Jesus answered.     Mark 11:22

This verse is the one we had on the first day of VBS.  And once again this is a simple verse but truly a powerful verse (just like the quote from Ryan M. in last newsletter).  Remember faith believes without seeing.  So always put your faith in God.  Putting you faith in worldly things will not give you peace and your faith will not be strong.  But if your faith is in God your soul (your inner being) will be at peace.  It’s like casting your cares onto Him and your faith knows that He is taking care of you and your troubles.  Have FAITH!
